Across five divisions of Lagos on Sunday night, several top Nigerian musicians kickstarted the 2017 edition of One Lagos Fiesta. For the next seven days, there will be a series of concerts holding simultaneously all over the state.

From Victoria Island to Epe to Badagry, Ikorodu and Agege where Lagos Deputy Governor Oluranti Adebule made an appearance, thousands of Lagos residents trooped out en masse to celebrate the Christmas/New Year Season.

Rapper Reminisce and Oritsefemi headlined the Epe concert while Fuji icon Adewale Ayuba, Tony Tetuila, Azadus and Artqauke , Chocolate City’s DJ Lambo were all at the Victoria Island centre as Humblesmith took to stage in Agege.

One would be forgiven for imagining the fuel crisis being experienced in country didn’t affect Lagosians as they defied scarcity to turn up. Fans were seen dancing without a care and enjoying the yuletide season.

One Lagos Fiesta is an annual celebration of arts, culture and entertainment. The festivities continue today at the same locations and will climax at the Eko Atlantic City waterfront on New Year’s Eve .
