It’s 4 days to the start of One Lagos Fiesta, and 250 talented Lagosians have made the shortlist of talents from Lagos Got Talent auditions, out of 999 upcoming entertainers who registered for the competition.

50 finalists were chosen simultaneously from each of the 5 regional auditions, which held in Epe, Ikorodu, Ikeja, Badagry and Victoria Island for 3 days, and now stand a chance of performing on the big stage at One Lagos Fiesta holding between December 24, 2016 and New Year’s Day, 2017.

The regional auditions featured amazing performances and rare talents such 9-year-old Farouk Sulaimon, an Ikorodu-based wonderkid who recites beautiful traditional Yoruba poetry popularly known as ‘Ewi’, and some breath-taking fire-eating dancers and contortionists from the Epe zone.

Lagos Got Talent panel of regional judges, including entertainers such as Eddie Montana of the Remedies, Jaywon, Yomi Fash Lanso, Alariwo, Tayo Sobola, DJ Charlieshee and others, will be hoping that the eventual winner who will be rewarded with valuable prizes and a well-deserved shot at the Nigerian entertainment industry, emerges from their respective zones.

While Lagosians get ready for the celebratory countdown to 2017, these shortlisted artistes are gearing up for the final stage of the contest, where they will get a chance to deliver once-in-a-lifetime performances at the 5 concert venues, such that will impress the audience and possibly change their lives forever.

One Lagos Fiesta is a celebration of the culture, art and people residing in Lagos – the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria and Africa’s mega city – as well as an avenue for the state to reward its residents for an outgoing year, while looking forward to a more fruitful new year.
